Medicine School 70 Enrollment To Increase The UNC School of Medicine's Division of Physical Therapy will increase its enrollment from 16 to 24 students in 1970, it was announced recently. Miss Margaret Moore, director of the division, outlined the significance of the increase. "The percentage of job vacancies in physical therapy is higher than in any of the other health professions in N.C. with the exception of physicians," she said. "Each year we get two to three times more applications than we can possibly accept. Consequently, we have been losing physical therapists needed in North Carolina because they must go to out of state schools and then find work in other states. This increase will give some of those who might have gone elsewhere the chance to be educated at home, and hopefully, to find jobs here." Future plans cited by Miss Moore include another expansion of enrollment to 48 students and the creation of an advanced degree program. FAR HP! FAR OUT! FAR CORE! Quiz Bowl questions were divided by difficulty into toss up and bonus categories. Gary said speed was essential in answering the easier toss up queries, valued at 10 points. The quiz bowl idea originated in September during a planning retreat for Union chairmen at Southern Pines. "We had no idea what response would get," Gary remarked, "but since the turnout has been so good, the Quiz Bowl will probably continue next year." By the way, what is' a squab?
